Standard Installation

Find answers about eligibility, costs, setup, and what to do if you need help.

During the order process, Brightspeed agents will assist you in choosing whether Tech Install or Standard Install is the best option for you.

With a Tech Install, a technician is scheduled to come inside the home, install the modem/router, and complete the outside connection work. With Standard Install, the customer is responsible for installing the modem/router. The technician will complete outside connection work.

Most Standard Installs require a technician to be dispatched into the field to activate the service. The Standard Self-Install fee covers the cost of the technician to complete the outside connection work. The technician will not be required to enter the customer’s home to complete activation.

If you experience issues while installing the service, you can call Brightspeed tech support at 1-855-889-0307 or visit brightspeed.com/getfaster for assistance. If tech support is unable to resolve the issue, a technician will be dispatched at no additional cost.
